Reception Transition 2021-2022

Welcome from Our Head Teacher…

Dear Parents/Carers,
Re: EYFS New Starters Welcome
Welcome to our school – normally we would have the opportunity to welcome you in person but, sadly, that is not currently possible. So, we have put together this virtual welcome to try and give you as much information as we can, to help prepare you and your children for what we hope will be a very exciting start to school when we it is safe to do so.
Firstly, I would like to congratulate you on making a great choice in sending your child to St Luke’s. First and foremost, we are a Catholic school so your child will receive a full Catholic education. Our mission statement is central to everything that we do here:
We follow the example of Christ by being God’s disciples here on earth and do the best that we can do.
They will be joining a wonderful setting and becoming part of a very happy school   community.
It is the start of their educational journey and we will do everything that we can to ensure it’s an enjoyable and memorable time for each and every child.
The early years of a child’s development, are a wonderful time. You can really see the steps forward the children take as they master new skills and grow in themselves as young people.
I have three children of my own and they all attend St Luke’s school. I chose this school for them before I became the Headteacher due to the welcoming nature of the school and nurturing of children from the start.
I would like to emphasise that we see the partnership between home and school as being central to our work in the early years. We very much look forward to the opportunity to working with you, and actually meeting you and your children. However, in the meantime please get in touch with us via the school office if you have any questions about the coming year.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Kerrane,
Head teacher.
