The Early Years Foundation Stage is where your child begins their school journey. We aim to make your child’s first experiences of school fun and engaging whilst developing their ability to follow routines and rules. In FS1 we record your child’s learning journey using ‘2Build a Profile’. We will use this system to email you observations each half term. We also update you on what we have been doing through Facebook.
Home-School Learning in the EYFS
- Children in FS1 receive weekly library books for you to share with them throughout the week. These are changed every Wednesday when they are returned.
- Children also take home ‘Play Packs’. These are bags with games and activities for you to share with your child. They are aimed at developing key skills which link to our curriculum, ‘Development Matters’.
- In addition, in FS1 we send home a weekly newsletter informing you of what we have been learning at school and ideas of how you can reinforce this at home.
- Please refer to the website links below for online games that will support your child’s learning.
