Music is taught by class teachers using an online musical scheme ‘Charanga’. This is a modern, exciting music scheme, with many of the resources online and interactive.

Each week, KS1 and KS2 meet for 30 minutes of singing. This is ran by Mrs Cox who teaches the children popular songs and hymns.
MAPAS – Music and Performing Arts Service provide St Luke’s with a music teacher twice each week. Children with musical talent who wish to take part can learn to play the violin or recorder.
Year Five pupils learn how to play a brass band instrument, receiving an hours tuition per week. Their talents are then showcased each year at The Lowry, performing at the MAPAS Primary Schools Showcase.
