Welcome to our Year 4 Class Page
Year 4 Staff
Mrs Healey (4H) and Mrs Watson (4W) (Class Teachers)
Mrs Burns (TA)
In Year 4, we learn about many exciting topics such as the Romans, Ancient Egyptians and we will be investigating Salford in our local area. We look forward to teaching you these themes throughout all of the work we do each term and to get the most enjoyment out of them. We will update our Facebook page with photos of any events, visitors and trips we encounter in school.
Homework for Year 4
This year pupils will be expected to
- Practise one page of 16 spellings each week. Spellings will be given out on a Friday and tested on the following Friday.
- Pupils should continue to read regularly at home (a minimum of five times a week, (approximately 10 – 20 minutes a day), and parents should sign reading records at least once a week. Parents should check their child understands by asking questions about the texts your child has chosen to read.
- Before every half-term break, children will be given a topic based homework to research for the coming half-term.
- In addition, this term we would like all children to regularly practise their times tables using Times tables Rocks Stars. Each child has been given their own unique username/password and this can be accessed on a smartphone, computer or tablet. You can access the site by clicking the link below.
