Welcome to Year Four

4B and 4D

Year 4 Staff
Mrs Bryan (4B) and Mr Duignan (4D)
Mrs Matthews (Teaching Assistant)

In Year 4, we learn about many exciting units such as the Romans, Ancient Greeks and we will be investigating the North West. We look forward to teaching you these themes throughout all of the work we do each term and to get the most enjoyment out of them. We will update our Facebook page and Seesaw with photos of any events, visitors and trips we encounter in school.

Please ensure that you have Seesaw as we will be uploading lots of photos and videos of all the exciting things we get up to throughout the year!

 Homework for Year 4

This year pupils will be expected to

  • Pupils should continue to read regularly at home (a minimum of five times a week, (approximately 10 – 20 minutes a day), and parents should sign reading records at least once a week. Parents should check their child understands by asking questions about the texts your child has chosen to read.
  • In addition, this term we would like all children to regularly practise their times tables using Times tables Rocks Stars. Each child has been given their own unique username/password and this can be accessed on a smartphone, computer or tablet. You can access the site by clicking the link below.
