Mission Statement

It is the Mission of St Luke’s as a Catholic school to:

Make each day a special day by –

Making someone smile
Giving thanks to God for his many gifts and celebrating our faith through prayer and worship.
Celebrating our successes and being proud and confident.
Having a positive attitude, a delight in learning something new and working because we want to.
Praising new ideas, creativity and ambition to do well.
Doing an extra little bit to make a difference.

Remember that I am special by –

Learning and developing as a whole person and in all areas of the curriculum, using my talents in the best way I can.
Remembering that Jesus is my friend on my journey of faith through the sacramental programme.
Trying to be a loving, caring person, following the way of Jesus.
Working well by myself.
Being creative and using my initiative.
Keeping myself safe and healthy.

Have a special place at the heart of our community by –

Being a good partner with parish and community groups.
Making a real effort to contribute to our national and world community as part of our world wide church.
Ensuring that our school is a place where visitors receive the warmest of welcome and feel valued and respected.
Caring for our environment.

See other people as special by –

Being respectful, recognising and celebrating people’s uniqueness and diversity.
Being good listeners and being tolerant.
Being thoughtful, considerate and charitable.
Encouraging others to become better in everything they do.
Working well with others and being quick to say “well done”.

I AM THE VINE, YOU ARE THE BRANCHES, WHOEVER ABIDES IN ME,
AND I IN HIM, SHALL BEAR FRUIT IN PLENTY.

FOR APART FROM ME YOU CAN DO NOTHING.
