Friends of St Luke’s new year letter

Happy New year to you all!

We would like firstly to say a BIG THANK YOU! to all the children and parents who braved the snowy weather to help bag pack at the co-op. It was a great success and we raised over £500 so it was well worth the effort.

The children who attended the PTA disco had a fantastic night. The change of venue worked very well and the evening went smoothly. A huge thanks goes to all the teachers and parents who helped out.

We are still collecting old mobile phones, please hand them into the office if you have any. Thank you!

The giving machine has worked overtime this Christmas and you have raised over £60 just by shopping on line. Please join if you haven’t already.

An Exciting new *** Challenge ***

We are hoping that this year will be our best ever, we want to try and raise funds for new and exciting projects

We know times are difficult and everyone is feeling the pinch, so most of our ideas don't require ANY MONEY. They include:

1.

Collection of old mobile phones, bagged up with or without chargers. Over the next few weeks there will be boxes in the playground for the collection of your old phones.
     
2.

There will be 3 fundraising car washes held 1 per term. The first will be on the 27th MARCH 10am - 1pm.
We will need volunteers to do the wash, and lot's of dirty cars, please let your family and friends know.
     
3.

"The Giving Machine", learn more by clicking on the image, is one of our largest projects, everyone needs to get involved and support it.

The full launch of all this will be mid March so look out for the posters around school.

Over Easter there will be a "Name the Bunny", tickets will also be on sale for the Easter raffle.

We are hoping to arrange a family "Race Night" some time in April. check here for updates.

About Us

We are a successful parent and teachers association. We meet once a month (term time) and organise social events for all the school community. All money raised goes to the children for extra special event and activites which enhance their time at St Luke's.

Any parent or grandparent is welcome to attend whenever they can make it. Ideas for events and fundraising activites are always needed.
